Welcome to my very own little cyber-stage. A place for rants, reviews and randomosity. I’m incredibly flighty in my interests so expect a fair amount of inconsistency with the subject matter of my Blog. I’ll be using this space to talk about everything from the pride and pitfalls of Parenting to the downright taboo.
Debate and discussion are two of my deepest delights. Within each is offered the chance to consider things from every angle. If you keep an open mind- you can change it. Making your mind up about something is never a good thing. Sure, when I post a blog I’ll most likely be fierce - even furious –with my attitudes but I openly encourage people to challenge them if they don’t agree. I might not change my mind but I’m open to hearing the flip-side.
A lot of what we’ll be talking about will come from the world of current events. Now I feel compelled at this point to mention my loathing for how the media report these events. I profoundly object some snot-nosed know-all sitting behind a desk in a newsroom, trying to feed me my opinion. It’s such a shame that words like “sick” and “outrage” carefully placed in article can sway the mnds of the masses. Thanks muchly Mr News Man but I’ll pick the facts from the story you’re selling me and decide for myself whether something’s sick or not, if it’s all the same to you!
A little about me then…
I’m happily trapped in the family bubble with my Husband and our 4 under 5’s. Two girls, two boys and a whole lot of insanity! I wouldn’t change a bit of it though. Being a Mum has been the most phenomenal ride of my life! Added bonus? I get to indulge my inner child. Play Doh and glitter are constant sources of amusement!
I’m also a bit of a she-geek. I’m addicted to everything from science fiction and fact to music, books and movies. Book and movie wise I’m an unconditional horror fan but I’m not above a good comedy or action film either. I’ll be reviewing lots of my favourite films and TV shows in this Blog. Musically, it’s mostly all about rock / metal but I have very varied tastes. I dare anyone to try to take away my collection of 80’s cheese!
I have absolutely no idea where this blog is going and I don’t know about you but I’m interested to find out!
